Christmas Market in Paris Champs Elysees :
In December and January, the Avenue of the Champs-Elysées puts its Noel's colors.
Illuminations make debates on their qualities and their choices.
And the lower part of the Champs-Elysées welcomes the Christmas market.
160 chalets (made in France, in Vosges) settle down between the Rond Point des Champs and the place de la Concorde.
For its opening hours, the Christmas market is opened from 10 hours(am) to midnight, and sometimes even more according to the influx.
It's the place to make small purchases and to eat quickly a waffle, a crèpes, or a glass of mulled wine (vin chaud) there.
Bur for a more well-balanced meal, the Villa Spicy situated at the Rond-Point welcomes you and proposes its Menu Villa Spicy ( entrée+plat+dessert ) for 31 euro, or its menu after-show (entrée+plat or plat+dessert) for 22-euro (soft price) but with reservation exclusively.
Children are not forgotten with numerous animations and merry-go-rounds installed along the market where they can have fun.
Several manèges (small train, slide, trampoline) and automate (polar bears, tortoises giants, orang-utangs, auks, elephants) and even an exhibition ("Magic Age") were settled along the market.
Schedule of the Christmas market:
Every day from November 16th, 2012 till January 7th, 2013, from 10am till midnight.
Schedule of the Villa Spicy:
Every day from 11:45 am till 3 pm and from 18 hours(6 pm) to midnight
New Yea's Eve Fireworks on 2011 in Paris :
The City hall of Paris informs us that no firework will be fired for Christmas or for the New Year's Eve.
This usage regrettably became a rule in Paris. A single exception had been made in 2000. The party will be again this year on Champs-Elysées, a few steps away from the restaurant.
Don't forget to book your table and your New Year's Eve dinner now.
